This project proposal will address:
• Reinforcing the current emergency Response Network by
upgrading various urban rescue networks, including
investments in equipment and training.
• The establishment of a Multi-disciplinary Fire & Rescue
Training Centre
The project’s main objectives are to:
• Establish a Special Response Unit
• Establish Rescue Training Centre
• Attach to this Centre a Fire Station and specifically SRU
• Expand Fire & Rescue capacity in the Province & Country.
EXPAND FIRE & RESCUE CAPACITY IN NORTH CENTRAL, WESTERN AND SOUTHERN PROVINCES
In this proposal the following Local Authorities are provided with appliances& equipments
• North Central Province – Anuradhapura & Polonnaruwa
• Central Province – Kandy, Nuwara Eliya & Dambulla
• Southern Province – Galle, Matara & Tangalle
• Western Province – Colombo, Negombo, Dehiwela, Kotte,
Gampaha & Kalutara
• Sabaragamuwa Province – Ratnapura
