Overview of the Institution
Founded in 1988, the IFE (Sri Lanka) Branch is a nonprofit making professional body with a rapidly growing membership of over 200, and a global reach that extends through 36 international branches. The IFE upholds professional standards within all public and private fire sectors by offering assessment of knowledge, experience and development and engages with major stakeholders to offer international standards, identify and promote good practice and enhance technical networks island wide. The Institution provides professional recognition for members across a broad spectrum and has achieved recognition from a number of local Authorities.
Objective
To encourage and improve the science and practice of Fire Extinction, Fire Prevention and Fire Engineering and all operations and expedients connected therewith, and to give an impulse to ideas likely to be useful in connection with or in relation to such science and practice to the members of the Institution and to the community at large.
